NEW HOME READIES FOR SECOND SEASON OF 11-MAN COMPETITION WITH WARD AT THE COMMAND

New Home has been a great team at six-man football in the past 30-plus years, but moving up to 11-man football will have to take some time to get used to as the Leopards went 1-9 last season and face another tough schedule this season as their first five games come against Hale Center, Sudan, Plains, Hamlin and Wink before district play in 4-2A DII.

I liked what I saw out of the new Head Football Coach, Jon Ward; who comes over to the Leopards after running a very successful Winters program. He will feature Blake Buckelew out of the backfield, running or receiving, and a very smash mouth approach on both sides of the ball! This season will be another tough one for New Home, but they are taking it head-on and will benefit in two-to-three years as a result.

Here is some sights and sounds from their practice this morning!
