IDALOU, OLTON TO RECEIVE TESTS AS WE PREVIEW WEEK THREE OF 3A/2A 806 FOOTBALL

It is mind-boggling that we are already in week three of the Texas High School Football season for 2022! There have been some surprises like New Deal starting off 0-2 and Boys Ranch; who has started off the season 2-0! Let's take a deeper look into week three of 806 football in 3A and 2A action!
Here are my top games this weekend!
Friday, 7pm Holliday, TX
Idalou has been a pleasant surprise this year so far as the Wildcats, led by new Head Coach, Clay White, are off to an 2-0 start with impressive wins over Sweetwater and New Deal! Now, here comes a huge test against Holliday; a team that has real championship aspirations with a loaded team and great physicality up front. Can the Wildcats compete here or maybe even pull off a win? It'll be a great game to see and find out! Great scheduling by both teams regardless of the outcome.
OLTON VS TEXICO
FRIDAY, 7PM OLTON, TX
This game should be fun as both teams can score a lot of points, but the best player on the field is Jake Soliz of Olton; who can play both ways and will be an All-State candidate before the football season is up! New Mexico coming to Olton for a great non-diatrict game! It should be popping in Olton!
BROWNFIELD VS ROOSEVELT
FRIDAY, 7PM ROOSEVELT, TX

This game has two teams that are going in different directions as Roosevelt is 0-2 on the season so far. Folks, that's already more losses than the Eagles had last year! Meanwhile, the Brownfield Cubs come into the game with two wins, in blowout fashion I might add, to start the 2022 campaign under Coach Flores. Can Coach Landers and the Eagles deal with the Cubs' high-speed attack? Will the Cubs play disciplined on defense and not attack the wrong holes? Should be a great battle that we will be there to see!
