BOYS RANCH VS ROPES HIGHLIGHTS THE TOP 5 GAMES IN 2A FOR WEEK ONE

Week one is upon us and we have some huge games coming for the 806! I looked through the numerous games and have put together the top five games of week one in the 806! Please comment some games you think are going to be great ones to see in person.

#1 Trinity Christian vs Albany

This game is going to be great! There is a lot of star power on the field with players like Benjamin Bruce of Trinity Christian and Albany has a ton of returners and a couple of move-ins from the 806 to include Jaxson Hoel and Chip Chambers; both who come from Abernathy's Antelopes!

Abernathy won their district before surprisingly losing in the first round to Spearman and Albany won the State title in 2AD II Trinity CHristian and Coach White made a run to the State Semifinals in TAPPS and look to make it to the State Title game this season. This game will come down to possession and turnovers, as does most games. Who's going to step up for the Lions after losing some dynamic players from their state title team like Adam Hill?

#2 Boys Ranch vs Ropes

This game is intriguing to me as both teams have new Head Coaches with Boys Ranch being led by Coach Kelley and Ropes handing over the leadership to Beau Riker; who comes from Brock and before that,Post; where he was part of teams who went to the State Title game in 2ADI in back-to-back years while sporting a 30-2 record as well! This will come down to the trenches; who wants it more on Friday in Boys Ranch?

#3 Clarendon vs Panhandle

You know that Coach Ashley will have the Panthers ready to rock, as always and Clarendon has made deep runs the last three years and will need another big year from Lyric Smith to continue their winning ways 

#4 Stratford vs Spearman

Will Stratford make another deep run in 2ADI? The Elks will have a new coach, but same standards and hard-nosed play that has brought them titles and notoriety over the years. Does Spearman have another insane run in them like last year? Great facilities, field and community' they will play hard for their town.

#5 New Deal vs Farwell

I think both of these teams will make a run this year, but how far will they go? Coach Hill always keeps New Deal in the upper echelon of 2A and Farwell has one of the best backs in the 806! A great game is coming!
