806 REALIGNMENT IS HERE: WHAT STOOD OUT TO US?

1. 2-5A DI is full of monsters for football!

Monterey, Coronado, Lubbock-Cooper, Amarillo, Tascosa, Abilene and Caprock! Football will be crazy in this district. Going to be fun to see.

2. Estacado will have a lot of miles coming up for football in 2-4A DI

Brownwood is almost 4 hours away and San Angelo is 3! But at least they only have to do it once in the next two years. Now, What’s up with the coaching situation?

3. No more guarantees for the playoffs in 3-4A DI!

Canyon, Randall, Dumas and Hereford, among others will have one left out of the playoffs now that Randall has joined the district as they moved down to 4A DI

4. Shallowater moves to District 2-3A DI and will travel at least an hour for district games!

Shallowater is in a district with River Road, Bushland, Dalhart and Muleshoe now. The Mustangs will still be the favorite in their district but will be hitting the road!

3A basketball with a minor shake-up!

Tulia moves up north in a district with Spearman, Dalhart, Canadian, Bushland and River Road. (1-3A)

Stanton comes into 3-3A and will make for some long travels for some teams like Friona; who will travel at least three hours for a district game!

Canyon West Plains comes in as a new school and will be in 4A DII!

Their basketball district will be 4-4A with Borger, Canyon, Randall, Dumas, Hereford, Perryton and others.

They will be in 4-4A DII for football with Borger, Levelland, Perryton and Seminole.

Highland Park goes down to 2A DI with Stratford:

1-2A DI will consist of:

Highland Park

Farwell

Panhandle

Fritch

Stinnett

Stratford
