Week four is upon us in 806 High School Football.. It’s crazy just how fast the season is going by! This will be the last week of non-district play for a few teams in the 806 and there are a few big games on the schedule that I will look into below!
SETH PORTER, ESTACADO MATADORS
#1. ESTACADO VS HEREFORD
(OUR GAME OF THE WEEK)
Our big game of the week is here! Estacado lost their first game to Coronado, 40-12, but then since have bounced back with two-straight wins, including a great victory over Caprock where Tadrian Ward had two interceptons and a pick-six, while Seth Porter looked more like himself with a 52-yard touchdown run and a 49-yard run as well.
#2.CAPROCK VS CANYON
A Thusday night spectacular game is coming our way! Canyon, led by next-level prospect, Lawton Rikel, will be a tough match up for the Longhorns of Caprock, but expect Tyjah Deleon and the fellas to give the Eagles a game, especially considering the Longhorns beat Dumas and Hereford on the road!
#3.LUBBOCK-COOPER VS MONTEREY
This game will be huge! Lubbock-Cooper comes into this game with arguably the best three wins on any schedule so far with wins of Andrews, Coronado and Frenship! Monterey lost early to Odessa but have won their last two over Wylie and Clovis and look to get a big win on Woodrow road Friday. Can the Monterey Plainsmen get a great road win before their district play begins?
#4.SHALLOWATER VS DALHART
Shallowater is humming, as usual, and haven’t gotten close to their peak as we expect the Mustangs to be playing late in November and into December. Dalhart comes into this game with a 2-1 record and a very tough defense. Their problem will be the passing attack with their starting quarterback down with a broken collarbone. Can the Wolves stay close Friday?
Make sure to stay tuned with us throught the weekend for highlights and updates!
