QUA HIGHLIGHTS THE 5-MOST EXPLOSIVE PLAYERS LEFT IN THE 806 PLAYOFFS

We started with 64 teams in playoff competition, and now there are seven teams left with dreams of hoisting a state championship in 2A-6A play. Now that the games are on such a magnified level, who are the explosive players that can change a game in a split-second? Here are our most-explosive players left in the 806 football playoffs.

1.  QUA GRAY: CORONADO MUSTANGS:

Qua Gray is on fire this year for Coronado

Qua is having another All-State season in 2017 with over 4,200 yards passing and 56 touchdowns so far this fall. With his deadly arm that teams have to game plan for, throw in the fact that he rushed for 75 yards last week to go along with his six passing touchdowns! DI is calling his name, and with another explosive performance against Denton Ryan, he will secure a spot on 5A’s first team as an All-State quarterback!

2. COLTON MOORE: BUSHLAND FALCONS

Colton just keeps gashing teams; on the ground and through the air, as he has all season. Moore had 493 total yards and seven touchdowns last week against the Indians from Seminole and they had no answer for him or his elite bunch of players around him. If he can have a similar game against Graham, the Falcons will soar into the 4A DII Semifinals.

3. CORONADO’S OFFENSIVE LINE:

From Blair’s 335 total yards and four scores, to Devin Morrison’s five catches for 141 yards and three scores last week, this can’t happen without the best line in the state of Texas in 5A. Corey, Jaylon, Erik, Cody, and Demetri are beasts and give their skill players plenty of time to do damage! This team will go as far as the line takes them, and that may be to Jerry’s World in a couple of weeks.

4.BRADEN DURST: PANHANDLE PANTHERS

Durst piled up 515 total yards and seven touchdowns in the Panthers’ win on Saturday over Stamford, 63-29. He can do it all for Panhandle and their team is red-hot….or purple-hot… Either way, they will be a tough out for anyone, including Stratford on Friday in Dumas.

5. WELLINGTON’S OL/DL.

Led by Division One talent, Trevor Roberson, and Drake Welch on the ends of the lines, the Skyrockets are about to boom to a title. A district rematch with Clarendon awaits Friday in Childress, and after that Albany. Expect Wellington to be on their way to Cowboy’s stadium for the first time since 2013 when Gilbreath and company won it all…remember??
